France Universités strongly condemns all expressions of anti-Semitism

France Universités condemns in the strongest terms the terrorist attacks perpetrated at the end of last week by Hamas on Israeli territory against civilians, including students. It condemns with equal vigor the threat to execute hostages, including children.

University presidents will not allow that initiatives, which under the guise of debating the situation in the Middle East aim at spreading remarks charged with anti-Semitism, flourish in universities. France Universités reminds that anti-Semitism, as all forms of racism, is an offense, not an opinion, and should be reported without delay to legal authorities. There cannot be, and there will not be, any tolerance for anti-Semitism in French universities.
