“It’s crucial to be at the heart of an event of this magnitude, which is the most significant of its kind in Europe. Being present demonstrates a commitment to internationalization,” said Carle Bonafous-Murat, France Universités’ permanent delegate in Brussels, to News Tank on September 10, 2026, on the sidelines of the EAIE 2026, which took place from September 8 to 11 in Glasgow (United Kingdom).
For the first time, France Universités had a booth in the France Pavilion. “We are living in an era where the internationalization of higher education and research is no longer a given. Various governments are questioning the admission of international students and the principle of international exchanges. ”
“We wanted to be there with our counterparts UUK International and the Swiss, just as they are set to rejoin the Erasmus+ program [in 2027]. It is a way to express our satisfaction and discuss the British expectations from their return. The program has changed and so has the world, how do we take that into account?”
